Great Habits to Counteract Obesity

Hello, here I am again.

How are you today? Recently I wrote a article on why American people have become over weight, and I alluded to the possibilities of living healthier, instead of staying obese. So in this article I ask the question, “Is there any way to reverse the trend of obesity?” So now we want to talk a little about the possibilities of reversing the mindset of “Who cares what I eat”!

First off in reversing the trend of obesity, is getting to the point of acknowledging the bad habits and admitting to the greed for instant gratification. That’s one huge step toward reversing the trend. Another way to begin having weight loss is getting mentors that really do care about you and your desires to look and feel healthy, so that they can stimulate you in actually carrying out your goals.

Your goals could be anything from losing 50 lbs, to just wanting to look more attractive, to not having to be so ashamed of yourself when you go shopping somewhere, whatever your goals are and how they relate to your emotional state. Mentors that really care, can have a very positive impact on your life, in helping you stay away from those unhealthy foods.

Another way to reverse the trend is simply cut back on your amount of food at a time. Make your food count, as in make it healthy. Stay away from anything starchy and sugary. Yes and even pasta type food. Unless it includes things high in protein. See, when you eat starchy things like noodles, breads, cookies, chips, french fries, and the list goes on, those things turn to sugar.

Those things even though they may not be sugar before intake, all that starch will turn to sugar once it becomes digested. So guess what, you add sodas, candy, fast food junk and all your other starchy things you’ve been eating, well now you have so much sugar in your system, that your system begins to break down from all that overload of bad stuff!

That’s why whole fruits, vegetables, beans, fish, and yes even venison is much better for your body then all that other sugary and starchy stuff. You see our bodies are made for healthy foods. And did you know that the list I made in this paragraph has it’s own sugar? Yes it does but it’s much healthier because it’s not that refined sugar junk!

Another way to reverse the trends is to exercise! Man, everybody says that! So what’s the big thing anyways about it? You know what?Just doing a activity that raises your heartbeat to point of breaking out in sweat for 15–20 min. a day will dramatically improve your energy and stamina. Not only that but it can speed up weight loss much more.

Again I recommend a mentor that can help you be consistent with your efforts! That is key!! Another way to reverse the trends is to bring awareness to the people around you what bad habits in eating will do to a person. You hear people complain all the time about some discomfort or another. Then they turn around and gorge themselves with all kinds of junk food. You never see them eating vegetables, baked beans, whole fruits and the like.

You can simply remind them about their diet and give them encouragement to consider changing so they can feel better about themselves. It takes patience, I know. America needs to have a complete shift in their thinking as far as diet. Start where you’re at, and begin the change in your own life, so that people around you can see the motivation in you, so that it begins the ripple effect. Take courage and plunge ahead and reach your goals. You never know the impact that it has on people around you, as they see you become healthy again!

Convert Your Time Into a Thinner Trimmer Waistline

My struggle to reduce my weight recently shifted from a struggle to a sprint to victory. Weight gain is caused and worsened by many factors. We eat too much. We aren’t active enough. Our metabolism slows with age. We are depressed. We are injured. We take too large of servings. We are addicted to chocolate. Our meals aren’t balanced. We are compensating for loss.

The list of causes is long and to me seems more like a list of excuses than reasons. We are responsible for our weight. Whether we have eating disorders, are gluttons, are anorexic, or bulimic the fact is at some level the issue lies with us. Now don’t get me wrong. Many of these causes are psychologically impossible for inflicted persons to control. And in many cases, a solution will require counseling or therapy to solve. Sometimes the resolution is never achieved.

One action almost all sources agree about is that activity is one of the most important steps we can take to bring eating and weigh gain under control. However, some of the ways this fact are perhaps not as obvious as we might have thought. The other day, I stumbled onto an article that tied our weight issues directly to watching television or being on a computer or being otherwise sedentary. The facts are overwhelming. If you watch television, the longer you watch the more likely you are to eat. That is disturbing. But apparently, the more we watch the more we eat at a steadily accelerating rate.

What should we do about this? The fact is in this concept more television equals more food there is a silver lining. If we reverse the trend and get up from our electronic entertainment and get out and work out, we are on our way to a solution. The rising and exercising cuts our intake and increases our activity. We create a virtuous cycle of increasing activity and reduced consumption. Consequently, we soon head toward a lower weight and greater fitness. Our increasing fitness increases our capacity for activity and improves the activity level we are achieving accelerating our improvement still more.

Add to this some recent studies suggest getting up for active exercising (walking or running) three times a day. The possibilities are exciting and results potentially more so. I’ve only been on this regimen a short while. I am seeing a number of healthy benefits and little disruption to my time, I hope you experience the same on journey to trimmer waistline.

And unfortunately, obesity is somewhat getting more and more popular these past few years, for some reasons. But the main and ultimate reason of obesity is modern and unhealthy life style. In this modern life, people are now well acquainted with so-called stress at work, which can cause the body circulation does not work properly.

According to several studies from all over the world, heart disease is the frequent murderer of human, for more than 5 percent people died due to this disease every year; it gain numbers every year. The third common disease that is mainly caused by obesity is neuron diseases, such as stroke, migraines, sclerosis, and other diseases dealing with neurology. What is Morbid Obesity?

What is morbid obesity? How has a condition that was once so rare become an almost common place disease affecting all types of peoples from all walks of life? Morbid obesity is a condition where an individual has a Body Mass Index (BMI) equal to 40 or over and it describes people that carry more than 100 pounds of excess weight. Morbidly obese people are just not overweight or even mildly obese, they are extremely obese. They are very large individuals that are on the verge of (if not already) serious illness.

Morbid obesity causes an incredible amount of damage to the human body. So much so that there isn’t a major organ system that does not have an associated illness resulting from the condition.

Morbid obesity is one of the worst types of ‘preventable illnesses’ to suffer from, possibly even worse than smoking because it is so stressful and damaging to the body.

Morbidly obese individuals tend to die much sooner than normal-sized people. A study conducted by the Veterans Administration discovered that there was a twelve fold increase in mortality in a group of morbidly obese individuals between the ages of twenty-five to thirty-four years old and a six fold increase in the group aged thirty-five to forty-four. Basically morbidly obese people have a higher mortality rate. This is because there is so much that can potentially go wrong with a morbidly obese body. Associated diseases are as diverse as can be, from relatively mild sleep apnea to life threatening conditions such as congestive heart failure and strokes.

There are even diseases that can remain hidden and unnoticed within the body of the morbidly obese, which can lead to life destroying complications. High blood pressure and diabetes are two very serious conditions that can remain undiagnosed for years and remain untreated until it’s too late.

Morbid obesity is a condition that an individual cannot afford to maintain for too long. The longer someone remains morbidly obese the more in damage they can cause to their body.

If you happen to be morbidly obese you should try and seek professional medical advice. Most professionals would give a very overweight individual a number of weight loss options. Each option should be seriously considered in order to reverse the condition. Some of the suggestion might include diet and exercising, behaviour modification, weight loss surgery, diet pills… the list goes on. Many of the options made available will be dependent on how overweight the patient is and how unwell they may be as well as a number of other personal factors. Morbidly obese individuals should seriously weigh up the options that are suggested so that they can lose as much weight as possible as soon as possible. The quicker the weight is lost the safer they’re going to be.
